International Baccalaureate

Understanding the connection to the world at large is the basis of the IB Middle Years Programme. Students become well-rounded thinkers as they focus on languages, literature, societies, sciences, mathematics, arts and education. Students also complete community service and a capstone project.

Math & Science Campus

Beyond traditional coursework, students at DCC Middle School participate in advanced science studies beginning in the sixth grade. Labs, projects and lessons cover ecology, states of matter, natural resources and other subjects. Math class schedules can be compacted to accelerate learning.

Unique Offerings

DCC programs provide creative learning for curious students. Students with sights set on college benefit from accelerated coursework on our specialized math and science campus. Discovery Courses engage students in creativity and performance, while High Trails presents the adventure of outdoor education.

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (Grades 6 - 10)

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is a challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. The MYP curriculum framework comprises eight subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education for early adolescents. Middle Years Programme Details.
